Who are we?
Hogar Luz de María is a private, non-profit, non-governmental association in Guatemala, founded in April 2004. We give shelter, protection and comprehensive care to girls and boys from birth to age 7 who have been abandoned, orphaned, abused or are at social risk, and who are referred to us by Guatemala's Children and Adolescents Courts. We also work with their families on positive parenting so children can return to a safe home.
